• Localization: Winsnort.com is an English-speaking community. All posts and linked content must be in English to facilitate effective moderation.

2. Community Etiquette

• Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Racism, sexism, victimization, or hateful rhetoric will not be tolerated.

• Professional Conflict Resolution: Personal attacks, "flame baiting," and verbal abuse are prohibited. If you disagree with a member, debate the idea, not the person.

• Veteran Leadership: Long-standing members are expected to lead by example. We encourage our veteran users to mentor newer members with patience rather than hostility.

3. Posting Integrity

• Relevance: Please ensure posts are relevant to the specific sub-forum. Use the General Discussion area for off-topic content.

• Formatting: Use clear, descriptive thread titles. Avoid excessive capitalization or special characters intended to draw attention.

• Substantive Contributions: Avoid "low-value" posts (e.g., "First post," "This sucks," or "Old news"). Such content does not contribute to the community and may be removed.

• Security: Do not post links to exploits, malware, or sites that cause browser instability. Such actions will result in immediate account review.

4. Commercial and External Relations

• Support & Recruitment: Winsnort.com is not a platform for recruiting staff for other sites or disparaging non-affiliated communities.

• Spam & Advertising: Threads or posts that contribute nothing to the discussion or serve only to advertise external products/sites will be removed.

• Ad-Blocking: While we cannot control personal browser settings, the public promotion or "glorification" of ad-blocking software is prohibited, as ad revenue is vital to keeping this community free.

5. Account Features & Management

• Avatars & Signatures: These are site-provided courtesies. Abuse of these features—including violating size guidelines or using signatures for personal ad revenue—will result in the loss of these privileges.

• Duplicate Accounts: "Sock-puppet" or duplicate accounts created to circumvent bans or restrictions are strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban of all associated identities.

6. Moderation & Governance

• Reporting System: Please use the reporting tool to flag policy violations. Abuse of this system for retaliation or rude comments is an infraction in itself.

• Moderator Decisions: Publicly questioning or deriding moderation actions is prohibited. However, members maintain the right to discuss actions privately with staff via Private Message (PM).

• Final Authority: Winsnort.com reserves the right to alter these rules at any time. The decision of the Administration is final.

Winsnort.com operates on a standard point-based policy to ensure fair and consistent moderation.

Automated Posting Restrictions

Content containing the following (or similar variants) is subject to automated moderation:

• "First post" / "Old news"

• Low-effort brand disparagement (e.g., "[Brand] sucks")

• Redundant "BPN" notifications.

Formal Penalty Phases

Points accrue based on the severity and frequency of infractions.

Specific Restrictions:

Staff may also apply specific account limitations, including:

• Restricted (News/View): Removal of commenting or content creation privileges.

• Restricted (No Edit/PM): Removal of post-editing or private messaging abilities.

• Restricted (Profile/Ratings): Removal of the ability to alter profile details or rate topics.

Note: "Null warnings" (0 points) may be issued at staff discretion as a formal courtesy before points are applied.
