7rrivera7 Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Although this version of Windows Server is not on the list of tested platforms, the tutorial says is "should" work but I am getting the following error message: I also noticed the \sources\sxs folder does not exist on the CD (e:\). Do I need to use one of the versions specified in the tutorial?
7rrivera7 Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 I posted 2 pictures but I don't think they are being displayed so here is the error textual message : C:\Windows\system32>dism.exe /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:NetFX3 /S ource:e:\sources\sxs Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Image Version: 6.1.7601.18489 Error: 87 The all option is not recognized in this context. Morpheus Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 I just checked my 2008 and there is also no folder. Just bypass that and make SURE you update using Microsoft update until there is nothing left to update. Let us know if it works for you. It's possible that updating will add the needed software?
7rrivera7 Posted June 17, 2015 Author Report Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks for the quick response! Bypass the entire DISM command? dism.exe /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:NetFX3 /S ource:e:\sources\sxs
Morpheus Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 Yes, bypass that if it's not installed it will create an error later on. I'll see if I can find a command to run that will verify its actually installed. 2008 may install it by default.
